Kim Kardashian supports former party girl pal Brittny Gastineau at art show

Former wild child Brittny Gastineau is sober and is focusing on an art career — with the support of her longtime friend Kim Kardashian.

Gastineau, who starred on the E! reality show “The Gastineau Girls” from 2005 to 2006, is now working as an art curator in Los Angeles, and recently created a show with hip graffiti artist ZES.

One of the first to view the curation was Kardashian, 42, who previewed Gastineau’s work in the exhibition “Excuse The Interruption” as part of LA’s Frieze Art Fair at Over the Influence Gallery on Feb. 9.

Gastineau, 40, told Page Six, “Kim and I have remained friends through thick and thin, and I am so happy she showed up to support me and my show.”

The KKW Beauty founder and socialite were thick as thieves for years until they had a falling out after Kardashian married ex-NBA pro Kris Humphries. However, the influential beauties eventually made up.

Gastineau explained that Kardashian — who is “very particular in her [art] style and taste” — showed up at the gallery “right after she had a Skims event.”

The ex-model continued, “I was like, ‘This is a woman who runs a billion dollar business and has four kids and still has time to support me, so the rest of my friends don’t have any excuse.'”

The former party girl told us she was immersed in the art scene while growing up in NYC and “started painting at 12,” but wasn’t able to “focus” on her passion until she stopped drinking alcohol.

“I am two years sober and it has allowed me to focus on the things that are more important and live a cleaner happier life,” she said.

While Gastineau finds working as an art curator “more rewarding than being in the public eye,” she says it’s “harder” than the entertainment industry.

“Working in the arts is probably harder than television,” she said. “People think it is so easy and glamorous, but it is so hard. I love working with creatives and seeing something come into life on a canvas.”

Gastineau is the daughter of model Lisa Gastineau and famed former New York Jets player Mark Gastineau, who has been open about abusing drugs and alcohol while he was playing in the NFL in the ’80s.

She famously dated Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps in 2010 and was most recently linked to “Million Dollar Listing” broker Steve Gold, whom she split from in 2018.

“I don’t even have a dating life right now,” she said of her current relationship. “My dating life is the art world.”

“Pardon The Interruption” is on view through March 12 at Over the Influence Gallery in Los Angeles.
